Civic Community Partners provided a $9 million NMTC allocation to San Diego Rescue Mission, in a transaction closed in September 2024 with US Bank. The funding reimbursed prior-incurred costs and provided working capital for the new 160-bed South County Lighthouse Emergency Shelter and Navigation Center in National City, as well as the Partners for Hunger Relief food bank program. The shelter is projected to serve 1,600 individuals experiencing homelessness, while the food bank distributes 2.3 million pounds of food annually to 52,000 unique individuals.
